🧼   WELLNESS, Bureau Fomo Space, Vienna Design Week, Vienna, 2026

“Come with me: this is my morning routine to become the best version of yourself. Wake up at 5 a.m., hot girl walk, pilates, ice cold shower, skin care, supplements, no coffee but matcha, journaling, mediation.“

In today’s understanding, wellness is increasingly embedded in the logic of a capitalist, performance-driven society. Well-being is no longer understood as an inner state, but asa visible achievement that must be produced, optimized, and presented. The promise is always the same: a healthier, more successful life. The body becomes a project of constant improvement, resting a productive activity, and self-care yet another form of work. Wellness appears as a universal formula and a digital buzzword for self-actualisation and well-being. What promises to slow us down ultimately follows the same mechanisms that shape our everyday lives: efficiency, comparability, availability, and discipline. Yet a fundamental question remains: When did we lose the ability to listen to our inner voice? And what does wellness mean to us as individuals? How can we find our way back to sensory experience, intuition, and a sense of well-being?

“Come with us and experience your own path and inner intuition.”

WELLNESS takes this contradiction as its point of departure, shifting our attention from the outside to within. Rather than searching for instructions on how to become a supposedly better version of ourselves, the exhibition turns toward individual, sensory experience: What does it actually mean to feel well? What does our own body need? Can we learn to trust our own perception and intuition again? The exhibition is conceived as an experiential space in which wellness is approached not as a fixed concept, but as a subjective and constantly evolving state. Seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and feeling become ways of reconnecting with our own perception.
